Handbags: Bentley.

Ladies, you ever wanted own a Bentley?
Well, now you can in a form of a handbag!

"There’s a new It bag in the luxury handbag market and you’re not going to be able to guess who makes it. No, not Prada, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, or any of the usual suspects; the fashionable elite around the world, especially in cities like New York and L.A., are busy snatching up bags from Bentley. Yes, Bentley, as in the iconic British car brand."

"The two styles, the Barnato (named after the glamorous Diana Barnato, who was the first British woman to break the sound barrier and the daughter to former Bentley CEO, Woolf Barnato) and the Continental, look luxe because they are made with the same level of craftsmanship that the cars are well known for. According to the brand’s head of product design Daniele Ceccomori, over 60 hours of work goes into every bag. (By comparison, it takes their artisans roughly four hours to make one of their hand-stitched steering wheels.)"

"The result of those intensive efforts is a bag that is equally, if not more, elegant the brand’s cars. “I simply recreated a car in a bag!” says Ceccomori.
The exterior silhouette replicates the horseshoe-shaped rear of a Bentley. But it’s the rich interior of the bags that’s the big highlight here. Ceccomori and his team have truly thought about everything a woman wants in her bag.
“The degree of complexity of the interior of these bags is far superior than the exterior,” he tells ELLE.com. "Quilted panels perfectly aligned to the profile, dedicated compartments for cards, keys, mobile phone, change, and a waterproof pouch for makeup (or a mini umbrella)—all details replicate the same architecture of the interior of the cars.”"
You won’t find these beauties in retail stores, however. To purchase (prices start at $5,500; bags are offered in a variety of colorways), visit bentleyhandbagcollection.com or contact your nearest Bentley dealer.
