Collaborations.

Rihanna turns designer and collaborates with Armani.
The singer has turned her hand to designing jeans and lingerie for the Italian fashion power house.
Rihanna has chosen to team up with Emporio Armani Jeans and underwear - of whom she is currently the face - to create a capsule collection of casual pieces.
The range features two styles of jeans in a tight boyfriend fit and skinny leg; a leather biker jacket; a canvas bag and two T-shirts - one emblazoned with an illustration of the 23-year-old, the other featuring Rihanna's "R" logo. Admirers of the bandana headband which RiRi wore during her X Factor performance last weekend will be pleased to hear that a similarly styled belt also features in the collection.
Also Rihanna will be making a collection of lingerie.
Not forgetting that underwear is just as important as outerwear, the 'Rihanna for Emporio Armani' lacy bra and knicker sets come in cobalt blue and pearl grey and are ideal for everyday wear.

Gaga Holiday Workshop.

Last night at Barneys, Christmas was in full swing.
Lady Gaga, decked out in Chanel Haute Couture, was on hand for the ribbon cutting and opening of her workshop on the fifth floor, where the likes of Blake Lively, Prabal Gurung, Carolyn Murphy, and Alan Cumming had all gathered to scoop up everything from $25 finger pops and $95 chocolate heels to enormous Gaga candles that drip wax out of her eye sockets and limited-edition heel-less leather shoes.
Twenty-five percent of the workshop's sales will go to the pop star's new Born This Way Foundation, which focuses on youth empowerment.

Red Carpet Appearance.

Blake Lively hits the red carpet for Gossip Girl's 100th Episode Party.
The party was held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City Saturday night.
Lively pairs off her Marchesa frock off with some Versace heels.
"From the front, the sheer paneling flaunted plenty of the 24-year-old's famous cleavage.
The embroidered peekaboo paneling continued all the way around Blake's back, revealing part of her derriere!"
I do not know about any of my readers, but Blake is very hot and she can dress her behind off!

This year the house hired a young filmmaker to turn the craziness into something beautiful, a short film documenting the last minute preparations necessary to polish off Sarah Burton’s sea-inspired collection.
From the helmet-like braids to the hand-stitched lace masks, this is as close as you’ll get to the runway only pieces.

Accessory Report.

Ladies check out the latest piece of neck candy by Proenza Schouler.
Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez has been working on a small collection of extremely limited costume pieces in fluorescent colors and chunky shapes.
For their Resort ‘12 collection, which they designers describe as an exploration of craft and late sixties West Coast culture, they took the idea one step further, collaborating with the art jewelry line Alex & Lee, a staple of San Francisco’s crafts scene in the sixties and seventies.
"Their line is very much about craftsmanship and layers and I felt a certain kinship with them as artists because that is the core of what the Alex & Lee brand is known for,” Brooks says.
“Our jewelry is made through a process of multiple layers and complex techniques and I saw very clearly that Jack and Lazaro have the same design approach in their line.”
The Resort pieces, like the Iguana Pup necklace (below) and Crystal Candy necklace (above) each retail for $1,500 and will be available at Toronto’s The Room in December. (The Crystal Candy necklace will also be sold at 4510 in Dallas.)
It offers a taste of what the designers promise will be a larger, independent collection to come. “The collaboration got us excited about jewelry and got us thinking about what Proenza Schouler jewelry would look like if we did it on our own,” they say.
“We’ve been sort of working on ideas since the collaboration and as soon as we feel it is ready, we will release our own collection of pieces.”

Thornburg x Miller.

Let me introduce you to Lindsay Thornburg and Chrissie Miller's "143".
Collaborative designers and friends Chrissie Miller and Lindsay Thornburg signed the lease and opened up shop on Ludlow Street in NYC.
The store is named after the building number and it's a pager code for "I love you!"
The permanent retail space for either designer which is set to open up this Friday.
"143 will be divided between the Sophomore collection, which Miller designs with Madeleine von Froomer, and Thornburg’s cape-heavy namesake collection."
it will also feature new and vintage pieces from a network of friends and the likeminded, including clothes, books, art, and jewelry.
“The neighborhood is super vintage-heavy; I think people go [here] looking for vintage,” Miller says. “So I found the best vintage dealers I could, rather than go to New Jersey and try to buy a bunch of stuff myself.”
Miller’s boyfriend, actor and artist Leo Fitzpatrick, will organize art and art books from the likes of Nate Lowman, Bruce Weber, Richard Kern, and Cass Bird. “Leo is obsessed with art books, and we don’t like keeping them in the house after we’re done with them,” Miller says.
Shoppers can expect to find Sophomore and Thornburg samples and one-offs on the racks!

NYC readers, here is the address so you can go and check them out!

What's Your Flavor?

Hello everyone!
This morning I received an email stating my readers would love this designer.
London born designer Eyola studied Fashion Design at Central Saint Martin's before completeing her Masters in Fashion Communication and Styling at IED Moda Lab in Milan.
Eyola's Femme de Rose encourages women to express their creativity, to be rebels of uniformity and to embrace individuality.
How many of you, would like to design your own blazer?
I don't know about you, but I get frustrated whenever I see another woman rocking something that I have and I rock better.
So why not design your own fashion blazer, and it would be one of a kind?
Check out Eyola - Femme de Rose.

Fashion Police.

Back at it again!
Which celebrity actress dressed the part better?
We have Sarah Jessica Parker x Selena Gomez.

In my opinion I am going to have to go with Sarah Jessica.
She is a one of my fashion icons; always classy.
Selena Gomez looks like she is going to a underage club and I distaste her shoes.
If you have a stylist or have a taste for fashion it is always recognized and she lacks BOTH!
What do my readers think?
