Campaign Ad: Balmain.

"The brand’s new imagery for Fall, lensed by Mario Sorrenti and art-directed and styled by Katie Grand, features Binx Walton, Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, Ysaunny Brito, Issa Lish, and Kayla Scott. Sporting Rousteing’s safari-inspired Fall fare, his stars nicely embody the heady, hard-edged sensuality he sent down the catwalk in February."
Olivier Roustening is not only using one but six faces for his new campaign ad.

"Rousteing was a longtime admirer of Sorrenti, too, noting that he appreciated the photographer’s particular vision of femininity. One need only glance at, say, Sorrenti’s iconic ads for Calvin Klein Obsession or his 2012 Pirelli calendar to grasp the languid sensuality that makes him a logical choice for Balmain. It’s Sorrenti’s talent for the enigmatic, however, that’s most evident here; there’s not much skin from a lensman who’s built his name on nudes. The ads themselves serve as an allegory for Rousteing’s evolving take on sex appeal. “My first show was a lot of leg, a lot of skin, and that was my vision: body-conscious dresses. But my [latest] is all about being covered up from head to toe, and that’s my new vision of sexiness,” Rousteing said. “I still think a girl can be sexy in an oversize khaki jacket or a parka, [or] black tights and a long, midi-cut skirt. I’m growing up at the same time my collections are growing.”"

"The Fall images boast models from the Dominican Republic, Great Britain, Mexico, and the U.S. As a young designer, Rousteing’s awareness is something that’s come to him with time. “My first collection was all about making clothes, and it was really, really important for me to work on the tailor[ing] and on the clothes, but I realized that day after day and step by step, I’m not only doing clothes,” he offered. “I think fashion is all about a vision that you can give to people; it’s [about] expressing that passion. We need to show how diversity is important.” The new campaign, then, is another step in that vision. As Rousteing himself tells it, “I think it’s showing a new reality—the Balmain reality.”"

Fall 2014 RTW: Hermes.

"When describing his fall collection forHermèsChristophe Lemaire kept using the word wild. Which only goes to show you how deeply entrenched in the Hermès culture he is. He defines wild as tone-on-tone printed silk daytime pajamas with a toffee-colored fur coat thrown on top."

Shoes were kept to a stack-heeled sandal, a tassel loafer, and a flat boot. Wild?
“They’re not fashion soldiers,” he said of those he’s dressing. “They’re women.”

Rip The Runway Gisele.

We all know Gisele Bündchen has been very busy lately.
She has been doing campaign ads, recording, and now she is ripping the runway.
She flaunted her walk yesterday at the Colcci show for fashion week in her native Brazil.

"Bündchen has also worked with the Brazilian label in the past appearing on the runway and in campaigns alike. Plus, Colcci has a reputation for nabbing major names, including the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio, Ashton Kutcher, and Paris Hilton."

I love her, what do you guys think?

Spring 2014 RTW.

3.1 Phillip Lim ready to wear collection.

Opening Ceremony for Spring 2014 RTW.

Who shows the showmen? Baz Luhrmann, Rihanna, and Justin Bieber were all in the crowd tonight at Opening Ceremony's first runway show.

Humberto Leon and Carol Lim invited the reigning gods of silver screen and arena pop for the purpose of out-entertaining them.
The reference, the designers said after the show, was to the car-craziness of their suburban, Southern California youth, where street races in abandoned washes were the entertainment of choice.
That influence coupled with an homage to Lim's background and a loose interpretation of traditional Korean garments.
The crossed-strap tops owed roughly equal debts to wrapped Korean jeogori jackets and seat belts.
The rest navigated a path between streetwear and fashion: culottes like upscale basketball shorts, oversize neoprene T-shirt tops, cargo shorts, and tank dresses.
In technically savvy jacquard and elegant crepe, they had a shiny insta-appeal.
But at the center of the maelstrom, the collection's bright snazziness belied a reticence to test the boundaries of its lane.
It may be that the clothes struggled to be heard over pomp and circumstance's roar.

Below are a view images from the Spring 2014 Ready-To-Wear.

Ri-Ri's River Island pieces still featured a fair share of her fave styles, like flesh-baring crop tops, maxi dresses with thigh-high slits and barely there bandeau tops.
The collection goes on sale March 5, but you can get a better look at the pieces now in this video from Rihanna's debut runway show! Plus, check out how everyone from hair and makeup artists to Rihanna helped prep the models for the big reveal.
